looking nearly as nice in fairfax. here in bc we have mostly cloudy conditions, 45 degrees. even the areas to the south and west are getting some struggles right now. kind of a variety across the region, temperatures are near the same across the region. they will not move a lot for the rest of the day. if you take a look at the satellite radar, tracking south of interstate 61 across highway 50, that will be the area most likely to get a few sprinkles through the afternoon. the rain overnight, even yesterday afternoon, has not amounted to much. the chances of rain are going to be diminishing into the afternoon hours as low pressure tracks down to the south. high-pressure is trying to build in and mash this out of here overall. there is potential for a last hurrah overnight and into tomorrow morning, with a small chance that we could get a wintry mix south and west of d.c. early tomorrow morning, but i do not think it will be enough to cause problems on the roadways. and it will be short-lived. cold air behind it, temper

at 8:35 this morning, a trip from dale city to the fairfax county parkway cost $2.45. but longer trips can cost $10 or more. too much for victoria hill. >> it's quicker, but the ones on 95 south will be too high for me. >> reporter: cars that are hov compliant, meaning three or more people, can use the lanes for free using an e-z pass flex the driver can flip a switch to the hov setting and there will be no charge. but don't try to cheat. state troopers have technology in their cruisers that tell them which setting your e-z pass is on. if it is set to hov and you don't have three people in your car, you will be ticketed. a couple of things you need to know first of all, you have to have some kind of an e-z pass in order to use the express lanes, either the regular e-z pass or that flex pass. this is a completely electronic system. the other thing is when traveling north, the express lanes end at edsall road and turn into traditional hov lanes. so if you have one or two folks in your car, you're not hov compliant, you're going to need to exit after edsall road or else y
