it's a bizarre story out of fairfax county.monday night police responded to a domestic violence call. sadie white, who was naked, attacked two officers. they say white stuck electronics into his stove and started a fire. officers put it out. five officers were trited for smoke inhalation, pepper spray inhalation and white is charged with assaulting police officers and starting a fire. >>> someone shot and killed a man whose body they found montgomery village. roberto cruz may have been there dead 48 hours before anyone found him on monday. the medical examiner is looking into what else may have happened in the woods near lake forest. >>> it is now 5:49. a developing story in the district. the d.c. general homeless shelter now set to close. the d.c. council approved a plan from the mayor to close a shelter and open six smaller brand-new shelters in place. that is according to the washington post. more than 700 families live in d.c. general right now. that number could double once the weather starts to get cold. >>> later today,

tonight we've got new details of sop potential cuts coming to fairfax county schools. our chris lawrence has been looking into these new recommendations, and he is in the newsroom with the latest. chris? >> reporter: jim, let's run down some of the services that are sure to get a rise out of parents. eliminating some late bus service and language immersion programs. and charging kids $200 for every sport they play. those are just some of the scenarios from a final report put together by the budget task force. they spent months pouring over the money problems in fairfax county and came up with two plans. one cuts $50 million, the other $75 million. and classroom sizes go up in either case. other changes on the table include paying substitute teachers less, and increasing parking fees. now, no decisions have been made. superintendent karen garza says it's still up to her and the school board to come up with an actual budget. she'll present it in january. they'll vote on it next may. doreen? >> chris lawrence. >>> the montgomery county board of education got an earful ton

the driver sped off at fairfax county parkway and pope's head road. the driver and four passengers bailed out of the car and scattered. police told people to stay inside to report anything suspicious as they searched the area. while the driver is in custody, the four passengers, they knocked on the door of a home in the area. they told that homeowner that they were out of gas and needed a ride to a gas station. the homeowner drove them to a gas station, not really realizing what was going on. police don't believe that those four passengers pose any threat. they may not be facing any criminal charges at all. they were just passengers but certainly they would like to talk to those people. at this point, the search is over. one man is facing possible charges here. the driver that refused to stop, responding to help in this incident. that officer got into an accident on their way to the scene. we are told that the injuries are not serious. he is going to be okay. back to you in the studio. >>> our 41st president has some harsh words for the people that ad
