let's go out live to i-80 in fairfield. in that silver sedan on the left hand bottom side of your screen is a person accused of shooting into an suv this morning. a woman was driving that suv. she was not injured, but her window was shot out. officers tracked the suspect vehicle's license plate. they found that vehicle at around 2:00 this afternoon with a driver in it near rohnert park. from there the case was on. here we are three hours later. the car has been stopped in fairfield for almost two hours. officers are in a standoff with the driver whom they believe is still armed. they're planning their moves carefully. our chopper watched the chase earlier this afternoon down 580 on the richmond-san rafael bridge with several cop cars on the tail of this silver toyota corolla. it was never going terribly over the speed limit, topping around 70 miles an hour driving through the north bay, eventually moving east. the driver avoided spike strips after several attempts by officers to stop that vehicle as it went from petaluma to

i-80 in fairfield friday night. both directions were shut down for hours as police faced off with the driver of this silver toyota corolla, chp says the suspect was wanted in connection with a southbound lanes of highway e 101, near windsor friday morning. chp says a black suv was shot, but no one was injured. the suspect was later spotted around 03:00pm in rohnert park and led police on a chase on the highway. 37, then back to 101, southbound. and then across the richmond, sandra fell bridge. the driver then took off and 80 eastbound in came to a stop at the core. delia junction in the area of green valley road and 6.80, after his tires were blown out by spike strips. chp solano county deputies and fairfield police surrounded and approached the suspect after an hours long standoff at 06:45pm. chp says the situation was resolved. chp has confirmed that the suspect has died. and initial report was that it was from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. the solano county district attorney's office is now handling the investi

you can see there in fairfield about 25 miles per hour. that, even san jose has 70 mile per hour sustained wind as a san francisco. notice the direction is generally northerly. so it's a bit of an offshore flow because we've got that high pressure that we talked about that sitting out the pacific and low pressure inland, kind of creating that wind greedy. and as we go through the afternoon, but you can see it's also that high pressure keeping all of california, very blue skies today and a really nice here in the bay area. so today, obviously a nice day tomorrow, a warmer day. we'll have the wind as we start earlier part of the day and then we should get a little bit better in the afternoon. but the heat peaks as we get into friday, looking out for inland, you know, upper 80's, even potentially 90 degrees, some low 80's. as you look around the bay and 60's out at the coast saturday, another warm day, too. and if we even take ourselves into next week and we look at the country as a whole, you can see a lot of warmth, all those areas in orang

as ama mentioned, 90s inland got up to 93 in fairfield, but 33 degrees difference between fairfield and 60 degrees. it was certainly a warmer day, no matter where you were, and we're still holding on to some of that heat in our inland areas like concord, brentwood, cloverdale. you're in the 70s right now. here's a look at your weekend preview. if you don't like the heat this weekend, it's cooler. saturday, mid 50s to low 80s. morning fog and drizzle and then afternoon sun for most areas. certainly will be a little bit on the breezy side sunday. those temperatures come up a couple of degrees. cool to mild is what we'll call it. so let me show you what's going on. high pressure in control of our weather will bring us another warm one for inland areas, but we do have this system that is developing in the pacific pretty well defined. it is going to start to knock our temperatures down over the weekend and bring back the marine layer in a big way. right now it is very patchy in half moon bay. so a live view from emeryville. camera visibility is good there. tomorrow, another warm day inland.
