family, and their spirit. to all who loved them, may their memory be a blessing. thank you. mr. speaker, i rise today in recognition of the police department of london, ohio. last week officers dylan foute and denies dye brought a missing autistic 5-year-old home to his family. last tuesday, the officers were on patrol when they spotted a young boy walking alone. however, when they turned their cruiser around to check on him, he disappeared. the officers continued their pursuit on foot, where they found the boy floating in the creek. he was conscious and breathing, but the 40-degree water could have quickly become a life-threatening issue. thanks to these officers and their quick action, the boy was rescued by the london fire department medics and were able to provide the emergency that he needed. we commend the officerse for their service to our community and share our gratitude that this boy could come home safe to his family. thank you. mr. speaker, i rise today in recognition of national caregiver month. 48 million americans are family caregivers. they care -- the care they provide allows their loved ones to age independently at home. from preparing meals, helping with b

officer james guelph. i know that assistant chief lazar was there as well. members of the family, as well as officers that served with officer guelph were also there and there were a number of moving things. his, his granddaughter, his children spoke. i think the one thing that i think really was a takeaway for me, that i wanted to share with the commission and the public, is that officer guelph's brother really channeled the grief and loss of the family into advocacy, and advocated with legislators, state legislatures and with congress to pass laws to restrict access of weapons to weapons of war like body armor, because in that specific incident, it was body armored assailant with an automatic weapon who had the sfpd significantly outgunned. and so to see something productive come out of that terrible tragedy was really something inspiring to see. and the second thing that i wanted to note for my report is i'll be i'll be putting it in the purple folder to agendize early next year in light of the january 20th inauguration of the new president. i think that sfpd needs to take a h
