the other day the apec summit now happening on the far east do these summits actually get results as a decision making event or is it just some sort of p.r. stunt there where they put on a great cosmetic face but nothing really gets done. you know i would not go so far as to call the. gatherings merely talk shops or something like this earliest i would make a distinction between nuisance talk shops and useful to trips they pick since nine to ninety three and it was labeled by many observers as a talk show but there were there were not just one but but many occasions when it proved to be especially for russia a useful talk show well are you expecting any positive developments any any agreement to come out of the apec summit have i do not think that so far at least in the shape we see today was designed to be a decision making body it's a body for the exchange of opinions for. it has been performing this function pretty well so i would say at least of g. twenty summit which opened in the back to back version there will be a better understanding of where we are in terms of global economic situation when you talk about where we are in terms
