if it is the question of providing service cuts or fare reductions versus having erupt window, i think almost anyone would prefer the wrapped window. that is a question the board has struggled with. well $500,000 might not seem like a lot, it seems -- for us it means five mechanics and parts and vehicle availability. ideally, we would not be doing this, but unfortunately that is not the case. that is the way we have been assessing alternate revenue sources. while they may not be ideal, if it means keeping service going and keeping fares down, that is what we would like. on your second question, i think it was related to -- supervisor campos: feedback from riders. >> we had a pilot where we wrapped fall vehicles -- full vehicles. we got very few negative comments. most of the comments were that if it means keeping service and reducing fares, most of the public would rather see the wrapping. i have written these buses myself, and there is an impact, but if this keeps my lines in service, i would rather have the wrap. only 16 would be wrapped at any time. frankly, i do not think there wil

how did your city fare? >> fortunately we fared well.urge we were worried about the coincidence of the surge and the peak runoff of the heavier rainfall and then combine that with the winds pushing water back on land, we were able to dodge that bullet. we saw some surging. we saw some highways. it was a very angry long island sound. we saw flooding of roads. we saw some many, many trees down. in fact in the northern country, the streets are littered with branches and leaves, almost like a leaf confetti all over. the third leg of this storm, the tripod is the cleanup and restoration. and that's going to take us quite a while from what i saw and what i can see. we are currently without power, about 20,000 of our residents which is about 20% of our residents are without power through the city of stamford, primarily in the northern section. we're waiting for the utility company to dispatch the crews that we were promised that would be here sunday. haven't yet arrived. unfortunately we're all ready to go and waiting for the most important peo

and the german dax off more than 3% faring the worst out of the bunch. yesterday, 4% to 5% declines essentially across the board. that was the worst daily damage we've seen in europe in 32 months. think back to december of 2008 and i don't think anybody wants to go back to that time period. we have in addition to the banks selling off this morning, lloyds is down by about 8% right now on top of steep losses, we have energy stocks under pressure. b.p. shares are down about 3%. this after the u.s. coast guard asked a company and some others to investigate a sheen in the gulf of mexico and we have some of the carmakers down significantly as well. they are, of course, very economically sensitive stocks. there are fears and frustration out there, obviously, and those are political as well as economical. the two strongest nations in the euro zone, france and germany, not staying enough amongst each other to stem this debt crisis from spreading and we do have some good news today particularly out of greece. finance minister there saying that july 21st agreement
