it happened around 7:15 last night at levick and farnsworth streets in mayfair, that's where "eyewitness news" reporter steve patterson joins us now with an update. steve, good morning. >> thankfully able to say it could have been whole lot worse, this is one of those cases, now, you can't tell by all of the destruction behind me, l & i's been here, the work has been done, and a lot of that wall has been sealed and shut up. but it was really bad, taking a look at it, yesterday. but i want to show this. look at this traffic light, still in use, people still using this light, but it almost looks like part of the war zone, under it, though, you will see these concrete supports, and an offense that's been built all the way around the house that's because this is not the first time this has happened, not the second or third time, but the fourth time there has been an accident near this home. >> it hasn't been this bad. showing you video, police say it happened around 7:15 thursday night, the mayor fair section of philadelphia, police say here's what happened. ford suv runs a red light, essent

it all happened on levick and farnsworth streets in mayfair.att rivers is there live tonight with the latest. matt what's happening now? >> reporter: jesse, you can see the truck has actually been towed out of the house hyped me. you can see that truck just down the street over here on levick street. it was leaking diesel fuel a little bit earlier so officials are making sure that that has stopped but here you can see the damage that that truck left behind. you can see right into those poor people's living room here. no one was injured in this crash at least the people inside the home. no one was home so no one was injured inside the hem thankfully as everyone out here agree that is this crash could have been a lot worse. >> tractor trailer and a dangerous intersection. police say it was right around 7:15 when an suv blew a red light at farnsworth and levick slamminslamming in tractor traid forcing it into the home. no one was and side the home. both drives were injured, though, as neighbors and police got to the seen to help. >> he got out of

suv going through a red light, just doesn't stop, slams into the back of that tractor-trailer, at farnsworth and levick streets. the suv again into the trailer, the trailer crossed the street, trail or into the home, the bricks fall from the home as it slams right into the side of that home. thankfully again nobody home. small children, who live in this home. however, though, the 55 year old truck driver, the 28 year old suv driver, both had to be taken to the hospital, i'm told, just treated for minor injuries. >> saw the two drivers getting out of this accident. you have to hear what they said. >> he got out of the car, his arm was all bloodied. i talked to him. i said are you okay? do you know who you are? you know your name? he's like ya. >> i just thank god that those people were not home and everyone's okay. >> this is not the first time that a car accident has happened at this home, in fact, there are concrete sports, and if white fence that surroundings this house. that's to try to keep traffic out of the yard. it didn't work of course when dealing with tractor-trailer, police contin

. >> reporter: it unfolded around 7:00 at the corner of farnsworth. the driver of the suv ran the red light before colliding with the tractor trailer. >> to avoid the accident, he turned and lost control of the car and crashed directly into the house. >> reporter: both drivers were placed on stretchers and taken to the hospital. the mother of the man driving the suv showed up after learning about the crash. >> came running over. they said they took him to the hospital. it was awful. >> reporter: we're told both drivers only suffered minor injuries. as for the homeowner, she's upset. she tells us this is the second time this month an accident like this one has happened at the her home. >> nobody cares. nobody's doing anything. until somebody cares unless somebody die in there? >> reporter: as we come back out live, you see the rubble, debris and the gaping hole that leads into this family's living room. firefighters out here trying to clean up this mess and fire officials tell us they have deemed the home unsafe. structurally unsafe. of course, that fa
