fayette county voters have rejected money for a 39% said yes to the $5 million dollar bond issue, while 61% said no. the county says the new facility would have addressed safety concerns and provided more storage for equipment. the city of ainsworth has a new city council member this morning. dawn stewart received 43 percent of the vote yesterday. the two other candidates had 19 and 13 percent. 76 people went out to vote for this election, that's about 23 percent of the voters. the marion library has a new director. the library board chose elsworth carman out of three finalists for the position. he comes to marion from the oak park public library in illinois where he was the manager of library experiences. carman will be the 11th director of the library starting april 18th. a committee in dubuque county is interviewing 25 people for an open position on the board of supervisors. the seat opened up when supervisor heart attack. a committee consisting of the county auditor, treasurer, and recorder, is interviewing the 25 candidates before making a decision. week. they started interviewing
