he shipped the machine to his buyer using fed ex, and in doing that, he said he asked fedex for the paperwork to declare the value of the machine. he was nervous because it was a very expensive item. he says the clerk at fedex told him there was no such paperwork, and russell trusted her. that machine ended up arriving badly damaged. so buyer returned it to russell who had to refund the entire purchase. next, high filed a claim with fedex. about a week later, fedex issued him a check for $241. he was shocked because that's more than $8,000 short. he said fedex told him it was he didn't declare the value of the package at the of shipping. he explained what happened when he shipped the machine and was shuffled around to a few different people in the claims division, but in the end, fedex stood its ground, so russell reached out to us for help. we contacted fedex and it agreed to cut him another chex for $8600. in a statement, fedex didn't really explain anything, but it did say that it regretted the delay in resolving the. lesson learned, declare a value when shipping items, especially the pric
