and commandeerings are not uncommon even in the united states it was a fed ex that was commandeered in in the u.s. there was a southwest airlines flight that was commandeered in -- before 9/11. >> peter, in the idea of commandeering you've listed many instances where that happened. is your idea that if you follow through with that that maybe the plane went down after it was commandeered? that's how you're following your theory through. they didn't drive it, they didn't crash it purposefully? >> well, yeah, i'll give you another example which i haven't mentioned. british airways commandeered out of nairobi in 2000. and the guy got in the cockpit, the plane descended about 10,000 feet very rapidly. luckily, you know, it didn't crash. so commandeering is -- would fit with the few facts that we do know and certainly a theory that we haven't heard a lot of that isn't a conspiracy theory but actually corresponds with the facts that we do know. >> is the concern though here given the fact we've got the internet and they seems to be a place these kinds of conspiracies thrive, is it going to ha

we saw fed-ex plane which was somebody tried to get into the cockpit in '94.we saw a southwest airlines flight in 2000. we saw alaska airlines flight where a guy got in the cockpit. this is not as uncommon as some people might think where people who are base you cannily kind of crazy for one reason or another try to take control. arguing against that, of course, the person who had the sophistication to turn off the transponder and all the other things that happened isn't crazy. >> okay. mark wise, you're a form pilot, american airlines, flew many many flights. is it possible that somebody could have commandeered this plane and got as far as somewhere like pakistan as some people are suggesting? >> absolutely. there was enough fuel on the airplane to do that. whether without -- you would think that if that airplane had been over a land mass, someone's radar would have been able to pick that up. and it certainly at this point, political pressures alone, i would think, would have determined that the pakistani government or another government would have determined

we'll hear from the likes of oracle, then fed ex on wednesday. on thursday. kayla, we'll also start talking about the banks and how much capital they might be allowed to return to shareholders. a lot of people, whether it's the hedge funds or more broadly, near the financials to do well for this market to do well. how important is this week and what we hear from the fed? >> there are two important dates. this thursday you will get the results of the stress test, which is how much capital the banks have but it won't be until next week that we actually know how much of that capital the fed has approved for banks to return to shareholders. expectations across the board are pretty low because they think that the populist sentiment against wall street is still so strong that taking that money and taking it away from the buffer and giving it back to shareholders will not be a popular opinion. but you bring up the broad rally we've had. financials have been a huge part of that. that's been such a bullish trade that i think people are expecting that coul
