go for more on this i'm joined in the studio by reporter federica federica this is not the 1st time without a coronavirus outbreak in a slaughterhouse in germany why is that that history is repeating that's right and sunny i mean we've seen similar outbreaks for example just a few weeks ago at another meat processing plant called best fleisch in western germany but also in france in the u.s. and this is really shedding light on an underlying problem here which is the dire living and working conditions that many of the employees of these plants have to endure in the case of germany many of them are migrant workers and they come from neighboring e.u. countries such as rumania poland or of bulgaria and in many cases they are not employed directly by the companies by sub contractors which are they then are more exposed to exploitations and they live in very low wages they also often live in crammed dorms and that's of course then a perfect breeding ground for the virus the thing is now that this is not a new problem it's been an germany's raid there for quite some time and authorities have been
