so i started fedex as an i.t.ntern through inroads and then of course 17 years in the field of i.t. with fedex and then ultimately switching over to h.r. and my current role as vice president. and i started with that story simply to say that it took the education system, a nonprofit to reach out and connect, and then the private sector to reach in and sponsor, and that created, it connected me with the possibility of being here today. and when i stepped into this role, about two or three years ago i had the opportunity to attend the tech higher summit in baltimore where there were young minorities and individuals from underserved communities who were participating. i walked up and missing some of the robots that had been created and there were two young gentleman having a conversation about the robot being able to talk -- toss a a ball seven fet into a bucket. and one of them, his robot was tossing it past the bucket. then i walked up on the conversation and the conversation went something like, yeah, your diagram
