our correspondent carl nasman in dubai has been speaking to fernanda carvalho, the global climate andment was what she was hoping for. i should say it's below our expectations. but there are some interesting points and others not so great. i think that we must acknowledge that the language on transitioning away from fossil fuels is a first in this process. after almost 30 years of discussing this, it's the first time we have this signal in the text. it's a strong signal, but not as strong as we were hoping for. we were really hoping for a phase—out of fossil fuels. but we also acknowledge it's very, very hard to get consensus when you need 198 countries to agree. what else would you have liked to have seen in that document? is there anything else missing that you were pushing for? i think the adaptation piece as a whole, not only in the text but also in the global goal of adaptation, is one that we would like to see much stronger. it's because the developing countries and the most vulnerable, vulnerable peoples of the world... and this is really talking about helping the countries tha
