">>>singers, dancers and poets filled the music building sunday night in remembrance of september 11th. into the light hosted by the music and dance department shone light on that tragic day 10 years ago. sjsu music professor, layna chiaankas is one of several professors who performed. "it was our gift to the university and the community at large and as you can see by the turn out it was more than we anticipated." rot rotc student dillon harvey says he is proud to participate in the color guard for the event and says he remembers 9/11 too. "i was an honor to be a part of the color guard. i was young but when it happened it made me get involved in the military." the concert began with the singing of the national anthem followed by another musical performance by professor joseph frank. "we feel strongly that music and dance touches the heart better than words sometimes can." a candel light vigil ended the night to the sounds of a solo trumpet outside the music building.o on campus, fern
