i read a quote that martin mull, who worked with him for a long time and early on -- >> stephen: fernwoodch a perfect way to describe fred willard and his brand of comedy. he-- he... he never indicated at all that anything he was doing was even remotely funny. and i think that's what made it 10 times funnier, that-- he was so deep in character, you almost started to think, well, he's just this person. he has no idea how funny he's being. but he did. and he's, i think, probably the finniest thing in "space force." there was one-- he'd improvise a lot of stuff, obviously. and after one take, the crew put down all their equipment and gave him a standing ovation. it was-- he was a joy. and just a really sweet person, as well. ph: wow. well, steve, it was great to see you. thanks so much for coming oy bee gang. good to see you. you're looking well. >> stephen: thank you very much. makeup does wonders. ( laughter ) and i've got to say, the low resolution of zoom has taken years, years off you, my friend. >> i'm not going back. i'm going tly buy a worse computer to keep doing these. ( laughter )
