his fiance is calling for an investigation into why his symptoms were not picked up earlier. he arrived in the united states on september 20th and started feeling sick on the 24th. he went to the hospital on the 26th and sent home with antibiotics. two days later he was admitted and isolated. the dallas church they attend held a memorial inviting extended family and health care workers. his family agreed to cremate his remains following strict protocols. workers have to wear protective gear and wrap his body in three it layers of plastic. the centers for disease control are monitoring 48 people suspected of having some contact with him after he started showing symptoms. the cdc is focused on the people who had direct contact with duncan. that includes his fiance and her family who were in the apartment where he stayed. >> i am on pins and needles every day in dallas this week. the signs tell you this is critical and you want to get through the whole 21 days. >> doctors are hoping a blood transfusion will boost them. he is getting a transfusion from the first american treated
