one on florida avenue, another on fifth avenue. flames were contained in the front of the home, but there was damage to a bedroom and living room. both fires were knocked down in 20 minutes or so. no reports of any injuries. and we're still working to learn whether fireworks were a factor in either fire. oakland police are investigating a deadly crash in which a person was hit happened overnight in the area of san leandro street and 85th avenue, which is near the coliseum. just after midnight. when police arrived, they found a woman in her 20s unresponsive in the roadway. a second victim also involved in the hit and run. and her injuries were minor. police say it appears the two were involved in a separate crash on 85th avenue. they were struck in a marked crosswalk after taking off from a previous scene. the driver of the vehicle that hit them took off. the investigation is still ongoing. a search is underway for a bay area native who has been missing now for a couple of days in yosemite national park. according to the park's face
