they have had a female president, but filipino women still do not have equal access to wealth, power, and health care, and so the rally. today, the white house recognized the courage of women all over the world. >> despite the risks they face, despite the hardships they in door, these women carry on. they know they are fighting not just for their own rights and freedoms, but for the rights and freedoms of so many others. >> even in syria, women came out both to mark the day and to denounce the regime. they think war might keep them home, but women throughout the arab world have claimed these political rebellions as their own. and in afghanistan, the only female basketball team celebrated with a match against american troops. the americans won, but no one thought that really mattered. >> among those at the event with the secretary of state and the first lady was the president of global voices partnership. it seems with women in developing countries, we take one step forward and one step back. how much progress of women made in rural areas in the last decade? >> it is interesting. inter
