in the fillmore. addition was probably one of the highest crime beats in the 80s. it was the abuse that i suffered through my stepfather and the violence in that, and then the neighborhood bullies and all of that stuff i had to navigate through. he was still in middle school when he found escape at the bottom of a bottle. i became an alcoholicic at that. at that point, i think i was like probably 12 or 13 at that time. taylor managed to stay out of serious trouble until he reached his 20s, when an argument with his pregnant girlfriend turned violent. i physically assaulted her. she had to have a baby for 27 days. the prematurely born baby clung to life. he ended up dying later of an infection. i went to a trial instead of taking any of those deals, and i got life. a second degree murder. taylor's life as an inmate wound through institutions like solano state prison and folsom prison. i worked on myself. i learned how to understanwhy these things happen, and i use that. and i share that with the world
