fim lebeau rejoins us. >> these are comments from transportation secretary anthony foxx who is comingn capitol when we caught up with him. remember, the national highway traffic safety administration is investigating how general motors handled the recall of 1.6 million vehicles. secretary foxx said that, yes, the d.o.t. has been in touch with the department of justice but won't comment on what kind of conversations they've had, and he doesn't want to prejudge the outcome of the gm investigation. then the question was raised, should people feel safe if they own one of these recalledg m models driving it right now. here is what he had to say. >> they should follow the recommendations of gm. gm has issued a recall and asked people to do things, for instance, to use a single key. folks should follow the recommendations that are now set forth and feel comfortable driving their cars. >> may have been a little hard to hear, but what secretary foxx was saying is that people should be able to continue driving their cars, follow the gm protocols they have laid out in the recall. those comments
