we're looking at finksburg damage. finksburg is going to be investigated tomorrow by the national weather service. that looks like an apparent tornado because of a huge amount of structural damage. when we were looking at some of the pictures at 5:00, you see certain shots where all the trees are going in the same direction. that's likely straight line damage. but when you look at these, you can really see a pattern of damage that is very different. so finksburg is going to be checked out tomorrow. not all these trees came down from a tornado. there's a lot of straight line wind damage out there. that continued over to the eastern shore. funnel clouds were also seen out a ocean city. the tornado warnings today were for north central maryland. we're sounding the all clear tonight. i think we have a couple of clouds out there and maybe some passing sprinkles or very light showers out to our west. ready for a quieter weekend? i know i am. max hd headlines. saturday is your day. i think it's going to look like we get a bre

live coverage begins with derek valcourt in thinks burg -- finksburg, carroll county. >> these were some of the trees ripped down. the winds damaged the homes here. the homeowners weren't around at the time and they came home to quite a mess. >> i still feel like i'm in a daze from it. >> reporter: she didn't see the damage to the house until she was back from vacation. >> half of the attic was exposed. >> reporter: a tornado ripped knolls in the ceiling and her house is condemned. >> it's going to be tough, you know. it will be tough. what can we do? you know? i keep telling myself, it could have been a lot worse. >> reporter: we're showing the corruption left by the tornadoes that touched down. homes ruined and several condemned. >> i'll never for get it. >> reporter: she was in her house when the storm ripped the roof off. >> i turned to close the garage door from the house to the garage and i couldn't close it and it blew me back and i fractured my wrist. >> reporter: her wrist is fractured, but her home is broken. the walls buckled and huge holes mean she'll be out of the house for

today the national weather service will be on the ground evaluating the damage, especially in finksburg. it doesn't appear that a tornado touched down in anne arundel county. it's a similar scene in southern point of our viewing area. strong winds forced several big trees to fall over there, right on top of two suvs. no word on injuries yet. the storm had strong widespread effects. let's head to the weather center. meteorologist tim williams is tracking the damage. >> we started seeing them fire up yesterday afternoon. tornado warnings around the state, as well as severe thunderstorm warnings. we started to see them roll through. stronger storms with winds in excess of 74 miles per hour, started to role across parts of carroll and frederick counties. baltimore metro area, around the beltway. you see the bright colors, purples and bright colors in the middle of your screen. that is the heavy iest of the storms. those are the storms that we thought to have generated an f1 tornado in one part of carroll county. frederick county around carroll county report the same type of damage. we'll ke
