so finnis meant goal, purpose. so i think what i'm thinking is that my definition of finance is, it's about financing activities, making things happen. that means allowing people to achieve their goal. if you democratize finance, different people have different goals. some of them are religious groups. some of them are hospitals. some people want to see scientific drug rest. different people have different goals. we ought to make it possible to achieve those goals. another example i mentioned in my book, you have a child who is handicapped and the child is going to live longer then you. you want to protect this child. what you going to do? the child is unable of taking care of himself for her so you so you want to create a trust for the child. you can go to a trust company and say, i want you to manage this account for my child after i'm gone and they do that. that is part of modern finance. that is just one example of the kind of goals the people have. the problem is that most of our important goals in life take t
