senate race between boxer and fiorina?well, we had some new polling numbers come out this week, and if you average those in with the others that came out over the past month, you've got about a 4.4 percentage point lead for barbara boxer. and if you factor in the margins of error that those polls have, that's not much of a lead really at all. but it's early. we still have a lot of time before election day. barbara boxer and carly fiorina are both busily out there campaigning all over the state. the national republican senatorial committee bought up a big block of air time for those last few days before election day in november to blanket the l.a. media market with pro-fiorina, anti-boxer ads. so you know there's going to be a lot of spending in the last few days, on both sides of the aisle. but the battling remains relatively superficial in some regards. you know, you had this week carly fiorina's camp pushing the story that boxer had equated political service to military service, which she actually really didn't. you had
