kristin fisher, 9 news now. >> our weather can't seem to get in sync this week it. cools off when the skies are clear and when is it going to warm and when do we get the rain? >> we're in a cycle of a day at a time, one day nice, one day wet. that will continue for a while until we get into more of a spring-like pattern next week. let's start with live doppler 9000. there are some showers barely making it over the mountains. this has weakened considerably as it moved across i-81 now headed towards leesburg. you're headed out route 7, you might run into a light shower and that shower inching into maryland across southern sections of frederick county and also northwestern sections of montgomery county. it's going to dry out before it gets into the beltway. again maybe you see a sprinkle out toward fairfax maybe as far south as gaithersburg on the maryland side. right now 64, 64 gaithersburg, 66 manassas, 67 fredericksburg. in fact, some of these are current temperatures warm as it's been all day. we've had a little spot of sunshine. tonight recall shower possible but

kristin fisher has more on what we can expect to see when nasa and smithsonian do the shuttle shuffle. >> reporter: the shuttle carrier aircraft is called a ferry flight. tuesday discovery will be ferried from florida to dulles airport. >> it's something to see when it's -- when it flies over you. >> reporter: the flight path was scouted out by two nasa jets last week. the exact route is a secret due to security but weather permitting it will include d.c.'s most famous landmarks. >> it will fly know higher than 1500 feet above the ground and at some sometimes even lower than that. it will be hard to miss. >> reporter: 1500 feet off the ground. that's just three washington monuments up and it's over the most tightly controlled air space in the country. >> i think the fact that all of the government agencies have approved a flyover is a real tribute to the importance of the space shuttle. >> reporter: dr. valerie neal is the curator for the smithsonian air and space museum. >> we have been working heavily for the last year. we have all the pieces in place now except the one we cannot co

kristin fisher has more on the allegation. >> reporter: what they are accused of doing is failing to distribute hundreds of thousands of dollars in financial aid to students, and then lying about it repeatedly to the federal government. to the department of education, they cut off all financial assistance which forced the college to close but that doesn't explain why no one from the school has reached out to the students to help them figure out what to do. >> i think we are all at a loss for words. we want answers and we're not getting anything. >> reporter: these students have paid tuition and taken out loans, earned college credits and now all of it is up in smoke. >> unfortunately this is a for profit institution and sadly, it has come that someone has gotten the profits and closed the doors. >> reporter: that someone is jeff moore, the president and ceo of a.c.t. college. in a letter to moore, the department of education says -- a. c. t. helped itself to its financial aid funds without the students' knowledge or consent. what's worse when the department of education asked them ab
