five vehicles at a holiday inn and 13 at a hampton inn were all burglarized wednesday night in flagler county. a hyundai was stolen and abandoned in volusia county. deputies believe this is part of a trend where suspects target vehicles at hotels. they then smash out the windows and take purses and wallets. whatever they can find. it' s recommended you park in a lighted area to prevent becoming a victim. police, residents, and lawmakers came together in orlando this morning to call for a stop to human trafficking. a rally was held at the lake eola bandshell to mark human trafficking awareness day. the event was emceed by wesh 2' s organizers say what they call modern day slavery is way too common across central florida. orlando police chief john mina says the city is working hard to crack down on the problem. chief mina: so we started training our officers to recognize those signs of a victim involved in human trafficking. our job is to put those people behind jail. the number one priority is saving these human trafficking victims. adrian: florida ranks third in the nation in calls to
