i'm james fletcher. topping our news this morning. the wildfire burning near yosemite continues to threaten 25-hundred homes. the "rim fire" is essentially burning out of control. firefighters have only been able to contain about five- percent of it. so far, it has burned more than 25-square miles in the stanislaus national forest. the area is fairly remote, but it has led to the evacuation of thousands of people from campgrounds and private homes. the bay area is just six days away from the shutdown of the bay bridge. all lanes in both directions will close at 8:00- pm on wednesday night, august 28th. that's when workers will transition the old roadway to the new eastern span. the c-h-p advises motorists to allow an extra hour to their commute time on wednesday night and beyond. officials say drivers should be among the last people to cross the bridge wednesday night. they say the bay bridge closure will be similar to past closures. stuffthe bay bridge will re- open on tuesday, september third at 5:00 am, the day after labor day. an
