certainly i started thinking about calibers because i saw in one of the letters that there were 8000 flints on the boats that were there. so i knew that the fixed infantry regiment and regulars would have the standard 1750 to 70 and 57 model military musket of the spanish. but what about all the militia they mostly had hunting guns a lot of them were older french models and some of them were the sturdy colonial escapades, which was a very valuable in terms of use on the colonial frontier. it was light, it was sturdy, didn't break very easy. it had the unique. mclay there that was unique to spanish guns. and though it couldn't shoot very far, it was very effective from a very short range, but they had to have lots of different calibers of musket balls and other accouterments and repair parts and the like, and certainly i want to look into more. so the first objective was the british fort butte. that man, jack, and it t st north of the iberville river. you can see from the m he and the iberllriver was the spanish fort fort san gabriel demand. and here's actually a drawing from the spanish arc
