brian flores in our studio now. us about the significance of this victory. >> dave, good morning. the city of ramadi is part of a key supply route used by isis fighters. with government forces taking back the city, a big part of the control of iraq was taken down. government soldiers rolled in early this weekend and as you can see, after the victory, soldiers raised the iraqi flag and celebrated on the streets. this marks the first time that iraqi forces were able to take an isis strong hold without the help of local militia groups. they received help from hundreds of u.s. led military airstrikes. a government complex was used as a headquarters for isis and it was taken back. it's being reported that many residents evacuated before this attack, but un leer how many casualties there were. pockets remain in the outskirts. what leaders are saying is that the victory shows that iraqi forces are capable of taking back their country. they say this gives iraqi forces momentum into other key cities. they plan on taking back
