in south florida, it is thick. central florida. we are looking pretty beautiful this morning at lake eola. buildings there off the left side of lake eola. orlando area. there are your temperatures throughout central florida. taking you down into miami, we are seeing dense fog in the miami metropolitan area. it is down to 1/10 of a mile. flights are being delayed because of that fog. given an hour, maybe less, it off. the other story is what is approaching from the west. it. some very cold weather, but with the flow will blast across central florida. it will bring some real severe weather to central florida. we are talking at about 11:00 in the evening to about six or 7:00 tomorrow morning. the worst of it hitting around 2:00 or 5:00 in the morning. with that line of thunderstorms, damaging winds, heavy downpours, and certainly lots of lightning. tornadic activity is not out of the question either. it is something we will be watching very closely here at wesh 2. very quickly, behind that front, thinks should clear out pretty quickly

we do keep that elevated rip currents in florida. i wasn't kidding when we said yesterday we're in the 70s and 50s. that cold front that's dropped our temperatures anywhere between 1 and 20 degrees colder than what we woke up to yesterday. very impressive fronts not just for us but in the state. so we are waking up to dry conditions and clear skies. we'll keep that northwest wind in place today keeping us cool, keeping us breezy. highs today will struggle to reach the upper 60s. reinforcing shot at colder air moving into south florida by tomorrow morning. we are expecting our temperatures to be in the low 50s near the coast. possibly even some upper 40s. most likely low 50s inland. not a great day to be on the water as you heard the breeze. highs today only in the upper 60s. this cool, refreshing weather will stick arou to wednesday, then we'll see our temperatures move up. it took some time for mother nature to realize it's winter for us here in south florida but we'll take it it. increasing that chance of showers friday, saturday.
