it's hard to believe some cities in florida may actually wake up to colder temperatures than cities as as new york city. here we have our temperature map for the morning hours. you can see the blue, that is 20s into central florida. including into orlando. new york city also into the 20s. their low right around the lower 20s to start off the day. jacksonville, they're sitting into the teens. morning low temperatures as cold as 18 degrees. we can see those teens all the way into atlanta, even into columbia. even as we progress throughout the day, temperatures are going to stay generally about 20 degrees below normal. it has been all this cold air across the east which has been kicking off heavy lake-effect snow. northern indiana into ohio back into upstate new york where some of the heavier snow bands, we could see 2 feet of snow as we go throughout the day. that's going to create travel problems along i-80 and i-90 as we go throughout your day. into the northwest, more heavy rain seattle toward portland. on top of the rain they've already seen. additional flooding problems are expected
