congress is seated next year. remember this? the count and recount in florida. it took 60 days before george bush was certified as winner over al gore in the presidential race. now we could face a rerun of sorts. republicans are predicted to pick up enough seats to hand them the majority. two will head to runoffs after election day according to the most recent polls. and the louisiana senate race may not be decided until december 6th. if neither one gets at least 50% next month. the most recent real clear politics poll average predicts that will happen. you know that guarantees practically that the contest won't be decided until three weeks before christmas. take a look at georgia. those voters could be shaking off their new year's hangovers in the voting booth. their runoff is january 6th. democrat michelle nunn is neck and neck with david perdue. the latest clear politics puts perdue ahead by just over half a point. still, under that magic 50% threshold. a runoff could come three days after congress convenes. other tight races include alaska, colorado, kentuck

florida or any other american are jobs in the economy, investing in education, and making sure everybody has access to health care and infrastructure. the republicans are focussed on obstruction. that is why this congress is at historic lows in unpopularity. they just want us to work together. democrats have and republicans have been obstructionists. >> one of the things it's not just the republicans really kind of giving the president a hard time. you see some democrats actually kind of turning their backs on the president. by the way, the president just last night was heckled at the campaign event in wisconsin by an immigration reform demonstrators. democrats have largely taken the lead on immigration reform, it seems as though a lot of democrats are turning their back on the president. >> on the contrary. >> come on. they're not -- he's not in the big ads. the republicans are trying the president to the democratic candidate. >> as someone on the ballot myself in six days from now. i can tell you that any candidate wants to stand on their own. that's what our candidates are doing. they're focussed on issues that matter to share constituents. we have a common agenda that really units us all and that's

florida governor jeb bush will campaign for cory gardener tomorrow. joining me live pollster and political analyst who focuses on colorado politics. the denver post put it this way. they endorsed cory gardener saying a dysfunctional congressalls for action when voters have an attractive ox option to the gridlock status quo and in colorado thankfully they do in cory gardener. it was a big surprise in the denver post. is that something you're hearing often? >> i think that endorsement was probably a game-changer. cory gardener had doing pretty well in late september and october. but that really gave him some momentum. people are still talking about it. and as you read, the post sort of made a bet. that is that gridlock could be broken in washington or at least inhibited if somebody knew is sent. and that's been sort of gardener's main argument. and that is that we need to shake up washington that washington is the problem. and so that's definitely helped him. as the polling points out, this is probably a one or two point race but gardener at the moment, appears to have the momentum and possibly just a little bit ahead. >> as you know, much has been made about colorado's new voting law and whether it would have an impact or

republicans find themselves now that is enough for control of congress but if you win 270 electoral votes you have to win north carolina and virginia and florida and ohio right now we don't see the brand getting any better in the day after the election to say all i am sorry we are wrong.
