it's dense fog. look at the toll plaza, you can't even see the top of the bridge this morning. that's how dense that fog is. i was actually driving into the city from that northern side of the bridge this morning and other drivers driving about 5 to 10 miles an hour. that's how difficult it was to see. and our photographer vince driving up from san jose this morning said he also saw a lot of dense patchy fog coming up from the san jose area. the national weather service has issued a dense fog advisory last night and will be in effect until 9 a.m. this morning. visibility only a quarter mile in some locations and in fact, it's been reported close to zero in other locations. and we saw pretty similar conditions yesterday morning. the same kind of fog and if you were trying to send some out of visitors back after the thanksgiving holiday, it probably was pretty frustrating. we saw delays at san jose airport in addition to some cancellations. sfo seeing several delays as well and with this kind of fog, w

we'll start with the fog because we do have heavy dense fog this morning.ounties that you see there in gray are under a fog advisory and frankly, tucker and i are going to have to stay on top of this. that could expand westward a little bit as the fog has been expanding. already, even prince george's county is under the dense fog advisory. definitely less than a quarter mile in some locations. we'll have some problems out there this morning. let's take a look at the temperatures. the temperatures aren't bad. right now, here in washington, we have a temperature of 49 degrees. it is 50 in baltimore. 47 at dulles airport. 52 in winchester and 45 degrees in fredericksburg so not a bad start to the day. we've seep colder temperatures through here. this is our sentinel radar. now, earlier this week, i would have expected this to be showing widespread rain showers beginning to move into the region. but that frontal boundary, as it moves eastward, that rain is really broken up and dissipated. you can see a narrow band of rain here moving through portions of western
