f follansbee learned as well and i was in washington, d.c. not that i have any influence over what happens there but i was able to visit their innovation center and i know kaiser and blue shield have innovation centers in northern california which i have yet to visit but it was helpful for me to see theirs as well as our other plans and this is reflected in our strategic plan of a holistic look when people look at health services today looking upstream and downstream and a holistic view in health. as the nurse in me, my heart is warmed by that and we're all in this together in trying to find ways to keep people healthy and less utilization of our resources is part whatever we're all challenged by which leads me to today's education session. we did survey the board on a number of topics to try to determine best use of our time here today. i do appreciate the presence of our board members. i know supervisor meddelin desired to be here but had a personal matter today and we're still absent one position. i'll be talking to our new chief of staff
