these bike tracks now, ones are proposed for 2nd street for folsom street, possibly and for market street, possibly for polk street in addition, to the one that is already in place in golden gate park. i bring it to your attention because we hear sometimes that there are meetings and yet these are held at night, meetings to gather community input and support. so when the night meetings happen, and we're not there, then there is a biased response from the public. and therefore, planners, whether planning commission, mta, public works or wherever, get the idea oh, this is great, because people who came like it. but the people who didn't come are the ones that are going to be at-risk for various reasons that have already been explained at length. i'm suggesting that the disability council might want to have a forum about bike tracks, or just try to get some better idea in the future about what exactly are city departments required to inform the staff about when they are proposing a project? whether it's a building construction, sidewalk expansion, any street furniture or anything else. thank

december 31, this batch had a call that a vehicle was on fire at 1645 folsom street and indicated -- they did not indicate if anyone was in the car or not. sgt espinoza was the first unit on the scene. he arrived on the scene, did a quick survey and then notified dispatch of what was going on. while surveying the scene, he realized an individual was trapped in the driver's seat in the car was engulfed in flames. fully knowing the danger that was in front of him, he did not hesitate. he immediately ran to the car and began to attempt to remove the individual from the burning vehicle. once he reached the vehicle, he realized the person was unconscious and still strapped in his car. at this point the flames began to blow over the windshield. the fire department was still not on scene. even though the heat was intense and possibility of the gas tank could explode at any time, sergeant espinoza did not retreat. at this time, officer ha and solorzana arrived on scene. they were amazed at what they saw. they saw him trying to break a window of the car. they knew the danger and immediately r

collaboration with pg&e were able to make a very outstanding arrest on metal theft from copper wire on folsom streetit sells for $3 a pound. there were hundreds of pounds of metal that were attempting to be stolen. the suspect in custody was michael o'keefer, 55 years old. the officers recovered five high voltage copper wires, and a second suspect evaded police. on january 6, there was an incident i know many of us have heard about also, a very unfortunate incident the other night. a woman in her 20's was severely burned by a boyfriend. suspect was identified as dexter oliver. it happened in the area of hollister street and jennings. suspect had thrown ignitable liquid onto the victim's body causing severe burns. victim was transported to san francisco hospital burn center where she is now actually suffering from life-threatening injuries. on january 7, mr. oliver -- we received information that area. in collaboration with the u.s. marshals and od, task force responded to that area, took mr. oliver into custody. he is charged with attempted murder and arson causing grave bodily injury. the victim is

taking up residence around the bay like this tree which appears to be waiting for a phone call on folsom street . over at alice griffith housing projects discarded trees are being removed as quickly as possible to avoid them being set ablaze most cities have a policy for holiday tree removal, the last time i checked. no where does it say take to the nearest corner and dump it in san francisco your tree should go out on your reggular trash day but with a few restrictions first off if the tree is flocked it cannot be recycled. the same goes for decorations and plastic tree stands and if the tree is more than 6 feet tall it must be cut in half but you only have till january 11 in berkeley if the tree is 7 feet tall it has to be cut in half however their restriction are a little more relaxed i can bet you that in the coming days you will see discarded trees everywhere and some will be there until the summer like urban tumbleweeds and did i mention they are a fire hazard, yup people set them ablaze and the wind blows the embers everywhere whatever city you live in please check out how to dispose of
