you may recognize this is folsom street and it happens regularly there as well as bryant street and the busses will get out and go around traffic which is a time consuming process. as a result we're seeing average travel times of 10 minutes from caltrain to market. that's about a mile. that's about 6 or 7 miles an hour and the proposal is focussed where the bus 40% slower than after 7:00 p.m. so i don't know if you can squint and see this. i apologize the map is a little bit small. the source of the problem we have in the afternoon with transit is third street is a route to the bay bridge. you see the opportunities going to the one-way street at this point. there's opportunities to turn right towards the bridge at bryant and then again at harrison and folsom. we see high volumes of right-turn vehicles at all those elections. at bryant, about 20% of the 2,000 vehicles heading north in the busiest hour are trying to turn right. if you do quick math that's about 400 vehicles in an hour that say high -- is a high volume of right-turning vehicles. in addition to transit, it's been equally im

i am active for the local community engagement committee, as well as upper folsom street neighbors in the community. i would like to speak to two different things. one is a rendering, which i don't want to pass around, because it is too big, and i have the p.d.f. on the rendering too late, but there is an architect, a local architect and neighbor who did that drawing to address many of the concerns that have been brought by the neighbors who are concerned about various issues on this project, which aren't addressed by the current architect. all lee is saying is there are ways to address that concern, and if there was enough time, in the process was different, he could have done that. i want to put my ore in the water for my neighbor. the other or i want to put in the water is for planning. what has happened here is that bernal hill and cortlandt street specifically does not have a design review board such as we have at the east slope where i live, and that review board is functioning because it brings together, as all the stakeholders in the community, to look at various concerns. and

only project to come out has been the project over at -- oh, i'm so sorry, but it was at folsom and shotwell streets. in looking at it, in total, one acre is 174 square feet that should -- 174,000 square feet of open space that should have been provided by now. we're failing these children, and already there's a deficiency of open space overall in san francisco. this is a study that showed that open space totalled only 14% of san francisco. additionally, in the motion that was created, originally by planning, they did admit that the shadow cast by the proposed project has a numerically significant effect. i'm going to contest that i believe that scope was too broad. it'll be too broad, particularly taken into account that there's going to be a nine story unit constructed next to this one that is going to add to the shadow density shown on that park. the closest school that is nearby to this park is marshall elementary. marshall elementary gets out usually around 2:40, but there are 120 students there that are part of their mission graduates program. those children gets out around 5:00 or 6:00, right

over the past week, and it happened on saturday, february 2nd, at six in the evening, at folsom and 22nd streetn the richmond district. it involved a pedestrian, 38 years old, was walking outside of the crosswalk, attempting to cross the street. she was struck by a vehicle going eastbound, and unfortunately, succumbs to her injuries. so this was not a hit and run. all parties stayed at the scene and tight -- tried to render aid to, what and fortunately she did not survive her injuries. as far as major events, we have had several conventions this week, large conventions, highlighted by the ibm convention, which goes from the seventh to the tenth. we also have a tech convict -- convention that is happening right now. it ends on the seventh. and the adobe convention, also is happening this week. so it has caused some traffic back up, but we have support for those events, and no problems anticipated. the san francisco giants will have a fan festival, which is really the start of the beginning for baseball season. that will be this saturday, february 9th. from ten a.m. until three p.m. in the aftern

folsom and geneva and poe llano. we also completely rebuilt, from the ground up two other gardens. page street, and corona heights community garden. in addition to the sites that were rebuilt, we performed site repairs at 20 of the remaining garden sites, so we have done a lot of work to improve these locations. these repairs focus primarily on safety repairs. for example, here is a family retaining wall at a community garden. we worked with the garden members to improve this space, and have a great retaining wall and to outline the gathering space. we spent a lot of time on gathering space, management over the past year. we want to ensure that people have a place where they could run programs. we invested a total of $4,400 in $404,000 in site repairs last year. in addition to the direct investments, we received a number of repairs on the operations team, in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical. these repairs were clicked -- critical. i want to say thank you to the team for all the support you gave us last year as well. we were able to amplify the direct investments that we did make by working
