in various areas and certainly something we'll i learned when i was commissioner of the food and drug administration the sooner everybody can sit at the table, government industry academics, researchers in and in many cases the people who are going to have to either consume or deliver the product and really together map out a plan and identify what are the critical questions to ask and answer? what are the unknowns scientifically in the unknowns in terms of the regulatory process and what is the level of risk that people are willing to accept and how can we reduce some of that either through financial incentives or guaranteed purchase or you know really clarifying and make you more predictable the regulatory questions as well. >> getting everybody around the table acknowledging whatever the strings are and what is really hard for those individual organizations to do and take on. i think there's a potential role for philanthropy to play there too. we are in a position to take on a little bit more risk to be open to a little bit more experimentation methods and how we do things. that's what i think is
