our building is located 37 feet away from the ford's building clearly providing a.m. will opportunity for air. regarding massing, the fords who live downhill state they support mr. haaser's ex cavings plan. i object to this. this plan suggests building and installing property line windows below grade on our north property line under an incorrect assumption that the ford's property line is 7 feet below grade but it is 2 feet and has a retaining wall with a five-foot fence on top of that. this will eliminate any windows on the top of the building. the windows on the south side for both floors of the lower unit would be nine foot below grade or directly face the haaser's property line wall. windows at the rear of the building would be below grade and would have limited access to direct light. while i do respect the desire to protect what they feel is their business interests and investments they are asking we compromise ours. we are entitled to the same rights and privileges that they have and we should be able to enhance our homes. please support our project. thank you

ford. this is the third year that we are doing a pilot. the last year you may remember the reported back and it was pretty successful. the muni travel times on the 39 bus decrease significantly, and the writer ship has gone up almost double. the level of congestion in the entire area has decreased significantly because now there is no incentive for a line of vehicles cued up on telegraph boulevard to get up to the top of the parking area. we would recommend making this permanent this year. but the recreation and park department, who own the facility above, asked us to do one more year of trial. they have a change in vendors at the coit tower and wanted the extra year to be able to analyze the data for the sales volumes and so forth. we accommodate their request. in terms of taxes, -- of taxis, the parking is restricted to residents with rpp permits, but taxes are allowed to pick up and drop off. it has not been an issue for the last two years. >> i do not think this issue is so much that he is dropping -- i do not think there is any disput

let's give it up for director ford. jim dierck is a principle, but not only a principle and an educator. he is someone who designd and developed innovative concepts where there was an incident that involved safety. for the work he was recognized at the national principle of the year. and he is somebody who is on the ground and has worked to empower young people at his school. he took his school from a different circumstances to be one of the highest performs school districts in the state. jim dierck. margaret brodkin is the director of the department for children youth and families. i emphasize that because it is one of the most critical agencies in the city and county. margaret was a former director the colman advocates who is responsible for many of the children and families here in san francisco much he served as director. including the another and leader of a campaign that results in a children's fund to provides funding to 220 program ares and serves 30 thousand children each year. margaret is a passionate person.
