toronto's crack smoking mayor rob ford. plus clippers sweep stakes as owners hold talks on forcing sterling to sell the team, famous suitors line up. a heisman winner accused of stealing crab legs? and a dog delay at a western oregon softball game. love that video. >>> good morning, everybody. we want to talk about severe weather and heavy rain because it has pounded parts of the u.s. overnight. rushing waters has flooded many roadways forcing drivers to leave their cars stranded in some areas. pensacola, florida, hit hard. record rainfall there, 16 inches. that is the most the city has seen in one day since the year 1880. in baltimore the heavy rain caused an entire street to collapse into a sink hole swallowing several cars. many areas are trying to recover from the rough weather this morning. jay gray has more. >> reporter: rushing flood waters have torn apart roadways, stranded drivers, and swallowed entire communities. the florida panhandle has seen some of the worst rain in pensacola close to 20 inches in 24 hours. >>

ford admits he has a drinking problem... and a newspaper says he was caught on camera over the weekend, smoking crack cocaine again. ford has family ties here. his father founded "deco labels and tags" in suburban wood dale in 1962. and ford himself was its chief financial officer until 2010. mistakes are made in every business and that includes the media. sometimes details get mixed up or flat out wrong ... even if the subject of the story, me, works for the same company. this picture of me and our evening news anchor lourdes duarte was part of a tribune story about my new home. but the caption refered to lourdes as my wife, which last time i checked, isn't true ... the picture was eventually replaced with this one ... with my real wife and our real baby girl. >> he doesn't like to talk about his five wives. >> it's a little awkward. or married for about 20 minutes before they took that picture. >> i bet there was lots of makeup on to cover that slap marc. >> i don't think it went over well with her boyfriend. >> no hard fe

after months, ford said it could not replicate the problem so it couldn't guarantee a fix. still, the car maker refused to replace the fusion or acknowledge it was unsafe. >> it was really dispinting. i thought they would want to make sure it didn't happen as a people. >> the data base reveals at least 95 other complaints of sudden loss. >> probably really should do a safety recall e. >> they officially told kpix that they investigate the, quote, issue and concluded ford was addressing the concern. except that investigation into nearly 12,000 other ford stall complaints didn't include the fusion hybrid for watson's car. and in those other cases, the report notes full function of power steering and braking. >> ntsa now admits it was mistaken and hadn't actually investigates these complaints stating it was monitoring the issue closely but had no further comments on ford's decision to put the watson car back on the street. >> after months of ford repeatedly refusing to buy back the fusion, we contacted the car maker and among other things asked does ford consider this vehicle
