about high-level education department ties in the obama administration who goes to teach at the ford foundation. he's suddenly starts referring to the gates foundation. everyone in the audience cracks up but the reality was people in the obama administration were gates people so maybe it's not so far off the mark. the gates and the walton family foundation in arkansas quadrupled their spending on k-12 education between 2,002,005 to $400 million. by the way i am focusing out just on those three areas of philanthropy that are not talking about the dark money organizations that the code brothers are now amassing. out ordered million dollars in the last several years has both the spending and influence of these philanthropies exponentially. to illustrate what i mean i would like to take you on a brief journey to los angeles where is having an outside influence on the second largest school district in the nation. in 2015 "the los angeles times" i've gotten quite a scoop today revealed a plan by the foundation to spend $149 million to increase the number of charter schools in los angeles to over 50%
