we have no idea what the head of general motors or ford or the people running google think about most things. but elon musk, unwisely, steps out of his intellectual depth every day, repeatedly, to humiliate himself the way i would humiliate myself if i was to talk about electric cars, for example. he humiliates himself talking about subjects he knows absolutely nothing about. like who should be the next majority leader of the united states senate. donald trump didn't say a public word about that. he did not dare, but elon musk foolishly did. elon musk picked florida senator rick scott publicly endorsed him, and rick scott came in last among the group of three candidates for majority leader. everyone knew he was going to come in last. only two of those candidates were serious candidates, and only one of them had a real chance, senator john thune of south dakota won on the first ballot. even though elon musk publicly opposed john thune and announced publicly, and he thought this was really condemning, that john thune was the favorite choice of democrats. and that is actually true. they

general motors and ford erformed higher on the month. let me take you to another sector. tech.ech has also been a very important one in the aftermath of changes to a.i. investors planning or investing on the fact you could see deregulation and tax cuts from the incoming president. nvidia over the month is quite high. apple and microsoft also higher on the month. here's an interesting part of the sector of the market, i should say, for the month of november. let's look at the russell 2k. to give you an you dee on the month, the russell 2k was up almost 11%. that was higher than the nasdaq, s&p and dow. it is quite interesting to see this upside in terms of the small and medium cap names. we'll discuss this in more detail with our next guest. before we get there, i want to look at the u.s. majors over the month of november. i highlighted the russell 2k. the nasdaq with similar moves. the dow also up almost 8% in the month of november. now, i'm pleased to say david bowers is joining us this morning trying to piece together what i highlighted for viewers. david, good to have you on

the automaker enjoyed a profitable run during the coronavirus pandemic that outpaced general motors and f fordt half of 2024. net profit falling by nearly 50% as customers tried to hang onto high prices. stellantis in the premarket is down almost 9 and-a-half percent this morning. chinese electric vehicle maker and tesla's biggest competitor byd is becoming one of the largest manufacturers of apple products in china. now assembling more than 30% of the tech giant's tablets, byd says more than 10,000 engineers and 100,000 employees overall are dedicated to apple's supply chain. apple's been diversifying the supply chain to include india and vietnam. experts are pointing out the company's rise depends on byd and lux share, could be an issue. take a look at apple, fractionally lower in the premarket. then there is this, maria. vice president kamala harris and her campaign are still asking for donations despite donald trump's resounding victory november 5th. e-mails include phrases like, quote, even a quick donation of $50 is enough to help us in the fight and quote, please do not click away. poli
