he was in foster care and stood up in church, asking to be adopted.e's done now, ten years later. again on this story, steve osunsami. >> it's the big day. >> reporter: davion only is grown now, and says he wants any child who might be aging out of foster care like he was to hear his story. >> congratulations! you did it! >> reporter: it's graduation day in upstate new york, and he's now getting his college degree. >> my message to everyone, especially the children that are stuck in the system, don't give up. keep going. >> reporter: when we first met him ten years ago, he was the 15-year-old foster care child in florida who stood up in front of a church and begged anyone to adopt him. he wanted a parent before it was too late. >> i know god hasn't given up, and i'm not, either. >> reporter: it was the caseworker who took him to church that sunday who answered his call. she's been his mother since, and is proud of her son, with his degree in food business management. he starts work this week. >> he's easy to love and i'm honored that he is my son. >>
