a couple of other things i do i work with anne on the board and with the foundation. that has been exciting. i do advising for sesame street. if you have small children the next seafn sesame street you will see some of the favorite characters and breathing and learning problem solving models and we're very excited -- >> [inaudible] >> and they're focusing on self regulation and other skills and specific focus and exciting working with them the past year and a half or so so i want people to have a look here, and what i would like to do is tie some of the things together that you have been hearing about today and in terms of bullying prevention, other prevention work going on in your state and in terms of promoting positive behaviors with youth, and so sometimes you hear social emotional learning, but what is it really? okay. so i have borrowed this model from kazel and it's the clghtive for social emotional learning and headquartered in chicago and this is their model that i find interesting and look at the different domains and the areas that comprise social emotional

foundation and others. and both the mayor and the board of supervisors responded to this advocacy and found ways to maintain the funding levels for the loss of the federal funds. we can't emphasize enough for how much your voice counts and encourage you to speak during public comment. our office always provides support for the mayor's budgeted town hall meetings to make sure that there is accessible access and we provide captioning services and assistive listening devices and attend the meetings with active concierges. i'm there in case questions come up about our programs. for example last year there were a lot of questions about some of our a d.a. transition groundwork. our first town hall meeting is tomorrow morning sat april 20th until 11:30. will it cover districts 1 and 4 for supervisors mar and tang. it will be held and george washington high school which is 632nd avenue. the second meeting april 22, it will start at 6:00 p.m. and this is for district 10 and 11 with cohen and avalos and will be held at the southeast facility 1800 oak dale avenue. the schedule is available online by going to s f mayor

so i think we found -- i am on the board, for example, the german foundation. they have been to determine how. they actually stayed in the german home overnight. what a fun thing for them. you know, some work and my wife's work, we try to make -- my wife teaches language is, he is fluent in spanish, as is my daughter. some french and italian. so we try to make our lives as much as possible. it was a good question. >> get some public. i don't know how you became. i'm going to say -- [inaudible question] >> no, i did not want to self published his first book. down the road maybe can do it every once, but that was nice to his first book out in print with an established public gate to the publishing company and see the steps of the process. a copy editing, the marketing, you know, the formatting of the book. i felt that would be a good process. so i told them, we're going to find a publisher. and then, you know, what he does with the next books heavy-duty leather, with every wants to do, he can make those decisions. i have used many. established prices. and i am co

like i saidish the response we got from our existing foundation is, wow, we want to do this. this is a great idea. >> you need board members who are willing to roll up their sleeve and say lets do something about this. >> which ours were. >> so this agreement you have with these universities. >> right. >> this is guaranteed if you apply yourself. >> all across the community college system, there are schools that develop tags or transfer agreements with different schools, where if a student takes a set curriculum through their first two years and makes the gpa, basically they are taking care of their first two years of a four-year degree at the community college. the other nice thing about that is, they are walking in as a junior. so they are walking in with a junior's priority registration rights. i have friends and neighbors that their kids are staying at uc or csu for a fifth and sixth year just because they can't get their courses. >> that's right. i wish you were around when i was thinking about it. there's information on your screen. you can e-mail them. what a great opportunity. no excuses. this is a free rid
