in the last couple years, why has there been such a rise in so many areas about fracking? i know this is an opinion guess for you. >> as i stressed in my testimony the ability to get that fantastic resource out of the shale, you're right, it is incredible technology, but it is new technology. it was developed first in texas somewhat in oklahoma in the south areas which are very different than what's going on now. >> right now there's been an incredible shift on it. this has been known for several years since 2005 legislation on it. why right now has there been such a rush to it. has there been some new breakthrough the epa administrator has told us repeatedly they have not found from epa a single site of ground water contamination from ground water fracking. >> i believe the epa probably said they're not aware where the action of the fracking led to water contamination. there are multiple publicly known cases where there's water contamination associated with the development of shale gas or other types. >> you're talking about from the surface? >> no. including from wells.

we have to have it if you are talking about fracking. at that same time, the government has to be a supporter and in every way possible have to limit the burden of red tape or excessive regulation. that is -- that is the message. we are in every community, we have certain tribal leadership. many do give back and recognize it is not all about their narrow self-interest. what are those ways that we can accelerate this international job and make sure our grandkids and their grandkids have the same type of tauruses we have? >> if you want to check on the governor's history of innovation, you should google his name and the running of the pigs.
