i'm frances rivera. we begin with the latest in that deadly bridge collapse in baltimore. the remains of two construction workers have been found. there are four others missing, other men, and they are presumed dead. officials now say it's too dangerous for divers to navigate around the wreckage. brie jackson joins us with the latest. what do we know about these recovery efforts? >> reporter: so in their latest update, the maryland state police now say this is a salvage operation. they have been using sonar to scan the area, and they believe the vehicles that are still trapped under water are encased in concrete and surrounded by the structures that came crashing down. the six workers who vanished into the wat eser are being remembered as devoted family men who came to america from mexico and central america. maryland's governor westmore met with some of the families. >> they had no idea them going to work was going to turn into a deadly occurrence. when i had a chance to meet with their families and pray with and for their families, they were reminding me of who they were
