franchesca, this is like a building bipartisan rant against the administration and its handling of thisowing some under the bus including those which has -- might not want to leave or didn't want to leave. what do you make of this? >> well, we've heard democratic senators that are in charge of key committees indicate how they want hearings on how the biden administration handled this. this is not an issue going away soon. congress is on recess. that is something that sounds like that they could begin doing the hearings when they get back. that would be in september. this has a trajectory here before that would start. >> neil: we're about a minute away from the president. many people are wondering if he will mention afghanistan or wouldn't even try. >> it's unclear whether he will take questions after this. they often don't say whether he will. he would be asked that in a set of questions after his remarks even if he doesn't personally touch on the subject. >> neil: he seemed stunned by the reaction to this, the criticism and unyielding criticism of his handling of this. is that the case
