francis cardinal george was back out in public for a second straight day, after a week-long hospital stay. the cardinal made an appearance at temple sholom in lakeview for the 19th annual "joseph cardinal bernardin jerusalem lecture". he was recently treated for a stomach infection brought on by his cancer treatment. he says he's still keeping a busy schedule. and in spite of chemo treatments, the cardinal says he feels pretty good. the cardinal says he's still i feel good. i'm still pretty weak. the fill you with all kinds of stuff. but other than that, i am ok. the big thing is a really scared me in terms of infection so i need to be careful. >> planning to travel to rome next month for the canonization of pope john paul the second. opening day at the cell worked out for the fans. the weather was nice, and the white sox won too. fans gave an ovation to paul konerko for what will be his last opening day. but before all that, the parking lots were packed with tailgaters. that looks pretty good right now. the spring weather was reason enough to fire up the grills, have a few cold ones
