nothing reported on sir francis drake yet this morning and 101 is quiet down 101 towards the golden gateraffic flowing nicely there. we did have one earlier fender- bender at the bay bridge toll plaza. so they waited to turn on the metering lights. they are on now but look at this. traffic is completely cleared out. so not much of a delay at all right now getting into san francisco. lawrence has been warning us it could be a very wet evening commute. so even though things look dry for now, if you do want to use mass transit might be a good idea for bart, no delay right now. does this drive anyone else crazy? we got this email from robin unger and she hates it when people park like this. she sent us this photo which has been attracting attention on facebook. people have also been sounding off there. we hear you, robin. no one likes a parking space hog. you could try to get the violator towed if it happens in a private lot. it looks like that was. and you can't quite fit in the next space over. parking over the white line is illegal on a public street. you can get a ticket if you are not c

there are issues in some areas, roadway flooding in lane one on highway 101 south of sir francis drake boulevard right here, and some ponding beneath area overpasses. now, our dry weather has transitioned to a storm system with the potential to bring up to 7 inches of rain. the drought we're experiencing now rivals the one we experienced back in 1975, but if current forecast holds, this pocket of heavy to moderate rain called an atmospheric river will last through the weekend. the moisture stretches all the way to the hawaiian islands. the bull's-eye of heavy rainfall will be right here over the bay area. right here in the north bay we could see as much as 3 to 7 inches of rainfall. again, we cannot help but notice how lane one of highway 101 have that flooding and that ponding. if you take a look at the cars flying through, you'll see how they are moving rather quickly and they need to slow down in these trouble spots. we'll continue to stay here, go around the area and see if we see any flash flooding. we'll have more weather updates on abc7news.com and i should have a live report to
