i can only fix san francisco. san francisco is fixed. i can't fix cal doj. >> let me try to clarify and i will pass the mic. seems like our numbers for hispanic arrest numbers are low and not consistent with other counties and it's not just cal doj but how they're reporting san francisco numbers and it's not like every county has this problem and i think it will be remedied in the future and how the numbers compare and does it make sense with the other counties? >> do all of the counties collect the dat at same way as san francisco? >> my guess is no. >> if you're going to comparein and i know some other county doesn't collect it like this. i mean you have different processes. i am talking about county by county comparison. i'm know not dealing with the feds and if everyone was using the same process. >> it emseemed like there were differences between the county scption how they collect data and with local pressures or whatnot but the cal department of justice has the expect 19 ethnicities that they do collect and the same ones in the sh

they want to stay in san francisco. city hall talks a lot about keeping families in san francisco. but there's rarely legislation to do anything about that. this is legislation that will actually help families stay in san francisco. and i urge you to support it. thank you. >> chair wiener: thank you. next speaker. >> howdy. my name is ian -- of some disclosures. i own a two unit property in san francisco which is both my home and a rental property. a previous owner of the property i know created a covenant with san francisco which disallows division of the property into condominiums. the wiener-farrell proposal does not potentially benefit me. i regard the rent control ordinance as the cause of, although not the sole cause of, and not the antidote for high rental cost in san francisco. supervisors wiener and farrell, i'm supportive of your proposal to allow condominium conversions. it is refreshing for san francisco to offer a carrot to rental property owners, a mient group, providing an essential service which since the imposition of rent control in 1979 has no -- more the stick.

san francisco reflects the world. we provide services in over 65 languages, woman are currently turned away because we don't have enough services so thank you for the funning board of supervisors and i'm proud to announce that san francisco has also received funds from the federal government. president back barrack obama and the department of justice has recognized the great events that san francisco has started and want us to continue to acted indicate violence here in san francisco and start a global movement. (applause) everyone here is touched by domestic violence. if you say you do know, it may be your co worker it could be your sister who doesn't want to speak out it could be your mother or grand mother. i do this in memory of a fellow co worker a fellow public sector attorney laura sweat who was murdered by her husband and in that moment, two young children were left without a mother. i do this in her memory and in hope that her children will no longer see anymore violence and i do this in the hope that the wor

investor confidence in san francisco. and we are strong enough that just this week,-moodies increased our ratings for the general obligation bond very few cities can say that is happening in their down right now. we did the right things create reserve after reserve i have been in those rating meetings and they are like interrogation meetings kind-of like a deposition if you have been to one of those and they are asking every single question that is hard to answer questions like if the state famous you what are you goingdo about it? what do you have in place if the federal government fails in their successstration what programs are failed here and what plans do you have to recover?. if you are not answering those with a lot of confidence you are not going to get the moodies rating increased at all and if you are able to do that with a solid t and i want to thank again the board of supervisor and is i know supervisor chu and reno are here today but i want to thank the entire board for creating an entire investor confidence

it's a great day for san francisco. i think often about the fact that one of the things that makes san francisco unique is that we can have a wonderful manufacturing company here making real products. tied to being the center of innovation. and they do it in a way that is very innovative. and here we are in a neighborhood that is a bustling neighborhood of technology and biotech with ucsf up the street. it's a pleasure to be a san franciscans in this day and age. in terms of our project, we are very excited about the fact that anchor represents the first major tenant and the kick-start to our mission rock project. to us it's the perfect partnership. we have been around a while, 1958. but that pales in comparison to anchor. 1896. as keith mentioned they are long-time partners with the giants back to candlestick park days. and anchor plaza was launched in 2010. and we won that year. and so we are going with a team that helps us win baseball games as well. this project is interesting in that it's about 20% of the total squ

san francisco general hospital is the only trauma center in the city and county of san francisco and in the u.s. it is, in fact, i think, the best trauma center in the united states. we stand ready 24/7 to care for any injured patient in the city and county of san francisco. we also at general hospital are caring for uninsured and underinsured people who come in after injured. we also represent -- i also represent thousands of dedicated physicians, surgeons, nurses, administration and therapists who care for the hundreds of thousands of patients who come to our hospital. i have dedicated my life to providing care for injured patients in our community. it is truly a team effort to provide care for the victims of vie lertctionv crime. we rely heavily on our many trained professionals 20 help us do our work each day. after persons injured due to shooting after the scene, people go there, public firefighters and servants. the trauma surgeons, emergency physicians anesthesiologists, orthopedic surgeons, nurses, therapists and many, many others who come to help us work on the patient. and

so, ideally, using the san francisco rec and park, the future san francisco arts app, using our mobile commerce to manage that is creating jobs, revenue, and efficiency for the public and tourists to be able to navigate san francisco in a way that hasn't been done before. thank you. >> all right. (applause) >> so, we're going to show another application from motion launch, the founder and ceo, john, will be sharing some of the work that they're doing. they're based here out of san francisco and they've got a great announcement to make. >> i am jon mills. i'm ceo of motion loft. we started about three years ago developing sensors that we could place around cities that would give us some analytics on how people move around cities and how vehicles drive around cities. so, currently we have 16 neighborhoods -- 18 neighborhoods covered in san francisco, and we get real-time data back that shows exactly how many people go by some of the busiest areas in san francisco. so, you can see here san francisco, on average total, i think we had 150 people cross our sensors on average for every sensor
