it is costly and difficult to do business in san francisco, to raise your children in san francisco. would like a voice at the table to create policies that will minimize the stigma that san francisco is not a business- friendly city, minimize the stigma of that san francisco prioritizes the rights of dogs over children. we started walking down that path largely because of political ideology. it is less about politics. i want to have a positive impact on the city overall, specifically district 10, connecting it to the city. people have been left to defend for themselves. i am honored to have been elected to serve to be the next advocate for the next four years, hopefully the next eight years, to really protect, defense, and serve the residents of district 10. >> we will talk more about some of the issues facing district 10. before we do, i would like to know a little bit about what you learned campaigning for supervisor. talk to me a little about that experience. >> first, i learned that a lot of the conversations we have about our neighborhood and community happens in silos. we have

san francisco is the location for some of most recognized films from streets of san francisco to bullet to vertigo to milk, gnash bridges and even more recently woody allen's movie. in addition the money is put into the san franciscan community it is spent on hotels and door rentals and hardwood and wardrobe purchases and gasoline and except rentals and, of course, our cities services. since it's inception in 2006 the rebate program has had a total of 14 rebates totally more than $100,000. they've spent a lot of money in san francisco. nearly $12.8 million was spent on the salaries for background extra jobs and other folks. the rebate program is more and more important between fiscal years 2006 and 2012 we had 8 productions take advantage of our incentive but just since fiscal year 2013 we have had incentives with 3 more to be rebate in 2013 that's a total of 9 new productions shooting her in the past year and a half. we're ploy more crew and background extras showcasing television shows like food networks and the upcoming series looking. which by the way, airs on january 19th. we're as

[ applause ] >> thank you very much, jeff and good morning and welcome to our panel this morning on forced treatment and constitutional rights. can they coexist? i am john diaz, the editorial page editor from the san francisco chronicle and i'm moderating this modern's discussion with our distinguished panel. forced treatment as jeff node is one of the most contentious issues of mental health. as you look at our discussion there are informed and panelled views from both sides. there has been many debates on how to implement lawyer's law which consist of outpatient treatment. it was named after laura wilcox, a mental health worker who had been shot to death by a man who refused treatment. the county r remains the only county to implement the law. there have been other counties in los angeles county and other counties who are considering it. >> why have they not adopted the law. what is it about forced treatment and the consequences for an al
