i'm from the san francisco public utilities commission. came about with state wide legislation in 2002 to enable people to take more control over supplies. i first heard of the program when the organization was advocating to launch clean power sf. what i'm most excited about, it's going to bring 100% renewable energy to my home and reinvest into renewable energy infrastructure and jobs. i had gone to a lot of street fairs and heard from the staff at the san francisco public utilities commission to sign up for clean power sf even before it launched. >> we learned about clean power sf because our sustainability team is always looking for clean operations. linkedin is the largest online network. there are about 530 million members using our site. in this san francisco office there's about 1400 employees working in roughly 400,000 square feet. >> after signing up for the program we heard about the san francisco program and learned they had commercial rates and signed up for that. i'm the co-owner of the new wheel electric bike shop. we opened

san francisco mayor london breed has named brooke jenkins as san francisco's new district attorney. ktvu is christian captain was at city hall when the announcement was made, and he joins us now with more christian. mew together. yeah that press conference wrapped up in just the last five minutes or so, and we're starting to get a picture of some of the priorities for the mayor's pick for the new district attorney that new district attorney brooke jenkins and the mayor, both speaking here on the mayor's balcony, beginning to lay out their priorities for how they are going to proceed with the district attorney's office. following the recall of chasing boudin. drug jenkins stood out because of her understanding of both sides. of having the experience. a family members on both sides. and understanding the need for compassion and understanding but also accountability and justice. and those two themes are very prevalent and how they're going to go forward. voters recalled buddy in the first week of june, and now that the election is over, the mayor is making her latest appointment. brook

i'm director of san francisco national cemetery here on the presidio of san francisco. this was designated as the first national cemetery on the west coast in 1884.however its history dates back to the 1850s along with the us army presence on the presidio itself. we have 26,300 gravesites that we maintain and thereare 32,000 individuals buried in this cemetery . the veterans who are buried here span all the war period going back to what we call the indian war, spanish-american war, world war i to korea, vietnam and then as recent as operation iraqifreedom . we have 39 medal of honor recipients. more than 400 buffalo soldiers buried here who are the african-americansoldiers who served with the ninth and 10th calvary . there's so many veterans buried here, each withtheir own unique history and contribution . one of those individuals is all equipment prior. that's not her real name, that's her stage name and she was an actor during the civil war and while she was working she was approached by sympathizers who offered her a sum of money to cost jefferson davis on stage she

both in the san francisco -- both from san francisco state university. like many san franciscans, they were drawn to our city by promises of diversity and inclusion and they have spent much of the last quarter century helping san francisco make good on those promises. lara's commitment to serving those in need is exceptional. they have fought for justice and demanded equity in our broken systems. they have worked at ymca, san francisco unified and other organizations that work to support communities and individuals in need. san francisco is fortunate that last october lara was chosen as lyric's new executive director. for 33 years, lyric has made its home in the castro with a mission to build community and inspire positive change through education enhancement, career training, health promotion and leadership development with lgbtq youth, their families and all races. lyric was founded in 1988 and is one of the largest youth centers specifically for queer youth in in the last year alone, they have served over 4,000 queer youth. 81% of whom are low-income

i'm the deputy director in san francisco. my background is one in which i have spent the entirety of my life committed to finding solution to poverty and addressing the issues of inequity so people and communities can have accesses to resources and financial freedom. one thing true anode dear to my heart was the power of business ownership in creating pathways to financial freedom. we have still in infancy. we had over 100 entrepreneurs come and start their businesses. some are food trucks. some are restaurants. some are in farmer's markets and so farther. that's an incredible legacy and record to build upon. this was the perfect opportunity for me to come back home, you know, come back to the neighborhood and take my skills and networks and resources and put it backseat in service of the community. given everything with racial reckoning and pandemic it was time for me and everyone else that had the opportunity to leave and get educated to come back home. we have a opportunity to grow our impact in terms of the number of peop
